Diesel Thomas to Make Porsche Sprint Challenge Debut with TekworkX

Aug 29, 2025 | General, Sprint Challenge

16-year-old Diesel Thomas will make his debut in Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge next weekend for TekworkX Motorsport at Shell V-Power Motorsport Park.

Thomas has already made a name for himself as one of Australia’s emerging stars, banking laps in a range of different categories. The TFH-backed racer has impressed in both the TA2 Muscle Car Series and in Trico Trans Am, with top 10 results in his rookie year and sitting fourth in the TA2 standings.

Starts have also come in the Aussie Racing Cars Series and in Monochrome GT4 Australia where Thomas previously competed for TekworkX. Driving a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 CS MR, a top 10 on debut in the category showcased Thomas’ talent alongside his brother Joshua.

Thomas’ debut in Sprint Challenge will come off the back of a strong season to date in the category for TekworkX, who have recorded 4 podiums including two victories so far.

Those results have come via New Zealander Willie Exton, who will miss this round due to damage sustained in an unavoidable Townsville pileup.

Thomas enjoyed a recent test day at Queensland Raceway in preparation for his series debut.
